The (Wo)Mentoring Program
Agnes Scott College
Collaborating with the Parenting Program and Frasier Child Development Center at Decatur High School, college students facilitate presentations on human rights, women’s studies, self-defense, and self-esteem during a parenting class for high school students and they organize “Visiting Days” during which the high school students spend time on the Agnes Scott campus.
Other activities include: after school tutoring, hospital and home visits, collecting needed items, and assisting high school seniors with college and vocational school applications.

CEISMC Mentoring Program (CMP)
Georgia Institute of Technology
Georgia Tech students with strong science, math, technology, and/or engineering backgrounds help children develop skills in problem solving and critical thinking and assist teachers in making education exciting.
Program activities are Elementary Science Education Partners (ESEP) program, a partnership between CEISMC, Atlanta Public Schools, and seven other colleges and universities in metro Atlanta; and All Kids Count Tutoring program which sends Georgia Tech students to tutor 3rd to 5th-graders in Atlanta Public Schools.

Grady Project

GSU places graduate school counseling interns in selected Grady Cluster Schools in the Atlanta Public Schools each school year.
Students conduct individual and small group counseling, classroom guidance, parent and teacher consultation, and coordinate other school-wide activities such as career fairs, peer mediation training, and Drug Awareness Week.

Youth programs include K-12 students. Projects include leadership development programs for junior and senior high school student body government and club officers, workshops on organizing community service events for K-12 students, and peer/buddy mentoring programs.
